No Follow Illustrates Need For Good Linking Plan

Filed under: Traffic Hub — admin @ 9:36 pm

The blog explosion created a great opportunity for savvy marketers–they could post their URL’s in the comments of blogs and reap the benefits of links back to their sites as the search engines crawled through.

Some undertook blog-marketing responsibly. They found blogs legitimately related to their sites and offered insightful, relevant commentary on issues. In exchange for adding to discussion, they were rewarded with a link.

Others found more nefarious ways to take advantage of the link opportunity, and “blog spam” became a concern. Comment sections of blogs were bombarded with URL’s that were not even tangentially related to their content. Incidents became increasingly common and obvious.

Google and the other major search engines determined this blog spam was undermining their efforts to create search engine rankings that accurately reflected the quality and utility of web sites.

And now, as a result, we have the “nofollow” tag. Inclusion of the tag tells search engine robots to ignore a link, rather than cataloging it. The command will automatically become a part of many blogs, as Blogger (a Google enterprise) and several other major blog hosts have announced their intention to build the feature into their offerings.

There is some question as to the efficacy of “nofollow.” Already, some bloggers who are not enamored with the concept are protesting the move and establishing “nofollow free zones.” A quick look through the forums demonstrates a desire on the part of many to discover workarounds for the tag. Some argue that implementation of the technique will not be universal, and its overall impact will not be quite as severe as some believed.

There is no question, however, that “nofollow” will reduce the effectiveness of link-building strategies utilizing blog commentary. As “nofollow” is implemented, site owners who have relied on these techniques will undoubtedly see a drop in their incoming link totals.

Recent “nofollow” events are another chapter in a growing saga regarding linking tactics and the search engines.

Link free-for-all pages were once the promoter’s way to create traffic. Now they are overlooked by the engines–if not banned outright. Partner pages and other mass link dumps have gradually declined in importance.

Link trading is dying due to its cumbersome nature and limited effectiveness. Totally organic link accumulation is slow and gets even slower as the market crowds.

Cross-linking techniques are risky and are generally only available to those who own a myriad of sites.

Where will new links be found? One option offering serious potential is actually building off-site links in the form of freely distributed content. Authoring a valuable, informative article and distributing it with a byline (resource box) containing a link back to one’s site, offers a splendid opportunity to increase links. The results are tremendous and are generally felt relatively quickly.

Though effective, article authoring and distribution is not a simple process. The supplier must have appropriate information regarding submission locations. The content must be good enough to result in acceptance at those sites. The supplier must be prepared to embark on the tedious process of submitting articles to site after site.

It does require a significant investment of time, energy and expertise and corner-cutting is not a good option. A low-quality article or an ineffective submission plan will produce no tangible result and could actually decrease a site’s credibility and marketability.

Earn Big Money From Low Traffic Even As You Work To Increase Your Web or Blog Site Traffic

Filed under: Traffic Hub — admin @ 2:58 pm

Everybody knows that they need to increase their web or blog site traffic to start making money online. Sadly what most folks do not know is that it is possible to cash in on low traffic even as you increase your site traffic.

There are various ways of doing this. There are special programs that target low traffic web sites and there are also affiliate programs that will work with very low targeted traffic. There are even specific techniques that low traffic web or blog sites can use that will guarantee that they start earning money from low traffic much sooner that most people think possible.

As I have often said before, the big problem is that most of the revenue generating advice given online is designed for high traffic sites. So we have a situation here where some very frustrated webmasters are busy flogging a dead horse, because it is common sense that most affiliate programs will only work with high traffic sites. Many affiliate web sites require 500 hits to yield a single sale. If a small site usually takes 4 months to achieve that kind of number on their hit counters, the results are easy to predict with great accuracy. They will be making one sale every four months or so. That will be $15 every four months or $3.75 monthly.

Actually many blogs and low traffic sites do not even manage $3.75 per month. Yet there are various low traffic techniques that can be implemented to help a low traffic web site earn hundreds of dollars every month.

There is a way for example to make the Google Adsense program yield significant revenue from very low traffic web or blog sites. The idea here is to use the right keywords so as to maximize on the earnings from each click.

There is even one particular program that I personally use for my very low traffic blogs where a certain site pays $5 for every link I include in my regular posts. This may not appear to be much money but it takes moments to install one link on a post so dozens can be done within a very short time.

It is amazing, the revenue earning opportunities that you will suddenly find when you focus on finding revenue specifically for a low traffic blog or web site and focusing specifically on the techniques best suited for low traffic web sites.

Do you have a low traffic site? You don’t need to wait to build up high traffic to earn from your site. Get Big Money from your low traffic site right away even as you work on building your traffic. Email me now for a personal reply, Free Special Report and a valuable free online course.

10 High Powered Ways To Increase Your Traffic

Filed under: Traffic Hub — admin @ 3:23 am

1. Trade links with other web sites. They should be
related to the subject of your web site. Instead of
trading links, you could also trade banner ads, half
page ads, classified ads, etc.

2. Start an e-zine for your web site. When people
read each issue they’ll be reminded to revisit your
web site. They’ll see your product ad more than
just once which will increase your orders.

3. Form an online community. It could be an online
message board, e-mail discussion list or chat room.
When people get involved in your community they
will regularly return to communicate with others.

4. Write articles and submit them to e-zines, web
sites and magazines that accept article submissions.
Include your business information and web address
at the end of the article.

5. Give away an electronic freebie with your ad on
it. Allow your visitors to also give the freebie away.
This’ll increase your ad exposure and attract people
to your web site at the same time.

6. Combine your products or services into one big
package deal with other businesses offerings. You
could share a web site and advertise the package
deal; which means double the traffic.

7. Submit your freebie to the online directories that
list your particular item or service for free. If you’re
offering a free e-zine, submit it to all the free e-zine
directories on the internet.

8. Participate on message boards. Post answers to
other people’s questions, ask questions and post
appropriate information. Include your signature file
at the end of all your postings.

9. Exchange classified or sponsor ads with other
free e-zine publishers. If there is a huge subscriber
difference between e-zines, one can run more ads
to make up for it.

10. Post your ad on free advertising areas on the
internet. You can post it on free classified ad sites,
free for all links sites, newsgroups that allow ads,
free yellow page directories, etc.

How to Run a Good Link Exchange Program?

Filed under: Traffic Hub — admin @ 12:18 pm

A link can be understood as a recommendation from one web site to another, but you have to be recommended by pertinent web sites, to be sure you will get the expected results after implementing a wise linking program.

As a football player cannot give the best advice recommending an auto-parts provider in Singapore, a web site that sells discounted plasma TV’s won’t get any advantage by being linked from a lawyers’ firm site.

The first question we need to ask ourselves when thinking about creating a links program is “why do we need to do it?” and the answer is simple as “the more relevant and quality links pointing to your web site, the faster it will be ranked on better positions”.

Then there are several questions that pop up in our minds spontaneously like “to whom may I link to”, “and who should link to me?”, “how many links can I have?” and others. To solve those inquiries I’ve written the following linking basics:

  1. We always have to search for themed links. As said at the introduction, there’s no chance to succeed with links coming from non-related web sites or links farms, moreover, your site can be banned if it’s related or work as a links farm.
  2. Having more links than our competitors is not an indication of success. Search Engines qualify links by their quality and not by weight.
  3. Reciprocal Links vs. One Way Links.

A reciprocal link is easier to get as you exchange links with other (themed) sites to acquire better popularity, which is a good deal for both parties… a good but weak deal. Each time Search Engines algorithms give lower importance to swapped links.
Quality one way links (inbound links) are recognized as more valuable by Search Engines and give higher relevancy if you have links pointing to your site instead of exchanged links.

  4. Themed and Authority Links

Themed links are those from business related sites and are the most suitable to link to you or vice versa. A good example of a themed link is a vacation review site with a link to the web site of a resort in Aruba.

Authority sites are those with a very high raking (Google Page Rank 8-10) and because of its importance can send a link to a web site even if there is no match helping the linked site, as for example a news site linking to an online MP3 players store.

  5. Find the correct web sites

We want to focus our efforts on relevant incoming links, so to do that while earning time, you can search for those web sites that are linking to your top positioned competitors for your main keywords, then study how relevant they really are to your web site, and depending on what kind of site they are (informative, directory, business review, newspaper, etc), you can either submit your information for free or pay a monthly/yearly fee to get a one way link to your web site into their pages, depending on their policies.

  6. Being consequent with your optimization process, you should create a good copy for each link to be implemented, including the desired landing page and the linked text. Directories allow you to add descriptions but if you are buying a link from a themed web site you may not be able to describe your site and simply add the optimized linked text and destiny URL.
  7. While selecting a site to place a link (more important if you are buying it) you have to take into consideration the quality of the web site, their ranking at the Search Engines (At Google look the Page Rank parameter) as well as their content, to be sure it is appropriate for your business.

Other factor that you have to look at is their own inbound links quantity and quality, identically as previously researched on your competitors’ sites.

  8. When acquiring (exchanging or buying links) a deal known as a “links package”, even if they are quality and themed ones, make sure their IP’s are different to maximize the results.

If they have the same IP, Search Engines can count them as a single source.

  9. The less outbound links the site that links to you have, the most efficiently your site will get improved. When buying, you can ask how many links are being sold from that specific web site/page.

Search Engines algorithms won’t stop changing their parameters, but one thing that is clear is that receiving optimized text links from quality web sites will always help improving our rankings.

Generate Free Traffic

Filed under: Traffic Hub — admin @ 6:32 am

Who says you need to spend tons of money to market your business?? Well those are the old school of thoughts. Welcome to the new Internet marketing strategy.

The basic idea started of with the algorithm of the search engine. In order to rank well in the World Wide Web, you need to have lots of website putting a link to point to your website and its called Link popularity.

Why should the site owner do you a favor if he does not benefit from it? Unless both parties benefits from this mutual agreement, if not the party seeking a link from the established website might need to pay an advertising fee! This is not really a bad idea if with this arrangement; you have a promised stream of traffics.

However, if you are new in the Internet business and don’t have much budget for such advertising, submitting an article about your business is the best idea! And the more the merrier!

Writing an article about your business is the best and most effective way to market your business on the Internet. Best of all, its FREE. Yes everybody is doing it and why shouldn’t you?

Some pointers when submitting your article to a directory:

1) Pick the right category

A search on the site will generate a few articles and you have a clue where your business belongs.

2) Key worded content

What is that? Basically if you are selling gifts in your business, litter sparingly your article with the word “gifts”. Chances of it being search by the search engine for “gifts” will be higher.

3) Length of article

The viewer reading your article might not have much patience and it is best to convey your message in the shortest possible time. Very often I read articles that beat around the bush that is very bad for marketing. The viewer might get agitated and skip your article for the next one unless your article is very well written. My suggested length will be between 300-600 words.

4) Don’t forget to add your URL

I have seen article very well written and yet they are doing themselves a disservice by now putting an URL to their website!

Getting all excited?? Why not? Put on your thinking cap and start to write your article for your business. Don’t forget, it must be key worded content to promote your business.

Happy writing and good luck!

You’re Not Linking, They’Ne Cot coming!

Filed under: Traffic Hub — admin @ 10:39 pm

Large companies tend to spend huge amount of money on the web. They put in so much with banner ads and did all they can not to mention a single external link on their site. They’re really missing it big time.

A link is anything that mentions your web address on another. It can be a straightforward www text link, a banner or a button. It’s getting hard these days to be in the top 10 on the search engines but most search engines base their position of your site on their listing by the way you appear on most sites. Well, once you give something, it will all return back to you. Why not give your link? Trade links with them and they’ll will all come.

So if you’re hesitant to give away links, you’re missing a lot of traffic. On traditional marketing you make every effort not to mention something about your competitors, but on the web, you’ll need to link to the same kind, meaning your competitors. For example, if you’re on web design business like me, you would trade links with them and appear alongside in the search engine. The secret is linking. Now the question is who’s among the famous web that contains millions of links: Altavista, Lycos, and Hotbot. It’s simply because they took the time to link.

They are basically two types of links: reciprocal and non-reciprocal.

Reciprocal links are links based upon an informal agreement between site owners to display each other’s links on each one. The agreement will last as long as each one continues to reciprocate or return the favor of the link. It can be a week, a month or a year.

There are ways to do a reciprocal link and they are as follows:

1. Web Rings - are small group of sites that revolves around a certain button or icon displayed on each participating sites. Each one takes turn randomly in displaying a link from different sites. By this way you are able to get an exposure right from your same category site. go: Nabaza.com Webrings

2. Banner Links - It can be a 426 x 60, 213 x 30 or a vertical banner. A good site that offers banner exchange is this one myBigMoney.com Banner Exchange A lot of viral business exchanges can also be yours go here: Nabaza.com Traffic Exchangers

3. Link Button - sized at 88 x 96 pixels and is usually animated. It signifies that your site is either “Powered By”, “Managed By” or “Networked Sites of.” Others runs each links on a contest, if you win you get 500+ additional exposures. go here: Nabaza.com Directory

Please refer to my “Highlights section”.

4. Text Links - This one is easy. I see webmasters now are creating multiple web sites that are in a series of links to each one. You can also reference your links in this manner: www.Nabaza.com/search/

It’s a good and ethical way of referring a web site to anyone if you like yourself to be credited. You can create any reference id you like as long as there’s no space inserted.

5. Self-replicating Links:

Above links will take you to a sign-up page that will lead you to create your unique URL in a snap. It implements the principle of (MLM) multi-level marketing which I have discussed in my other article: “Multi-Level Marketing on the web” and also it would be an honor for me if you join me as your upline. :-)

6. Award Links - Award-giving web sites that promises their icon without any cash equivalent. It’s a good way to decorate your site and boast of your excellence.

7. Ad Swapping - These are for those who are writing and publishing their own newsletters. It’s an agreement or kind of payment that if you accept my ad for free I’ll display your ad as well. I accept ad swapping from publishers.

Non-reciprocal links, on the other hand, can be a good source of hits for your site as well.

You need to actively encourage your visitors to link to your site by giving them instructions on how to do it. On your site, provide a “How to Link to Your site?” page. Create banners, buttons, or a cgi script that will make their life easy. On your part, you have to constantly develop and maintain a good site and give a reward to someone who will link to you, one example is this: http://www.LinkBuff.com

If your site is really excellent in design, very useful and is always updated; chances are, people will really link to your site even without your knowledge. On my site, I accomplish this actively by constantly submitting articles like the one’s you’re reading. Also, most importantly, is you religiously submit your site to search engines and directories. Submit it in one easy way. http://www.Nabaza.com/submit.htm

Advantages of Linking:

If you do this one, you’ll be surprise at the extra traffic that links from other sites can generate.

Whenever, I do a search on any search engine, I see sites that always refer back to my site. These sites have subscriber base of 140,000 and up. Thanks Newslinx.

You need not encourage duplication but you need to be linked.

How to do it?

Send individual emails, not mass mails. I won’t exchange links with sites that sends out an email containing a header: Hello, Fellow webmaster or one that has a mail extractor signature. I need someone on that same category. If someone doesn’t take his time in writing me a customized email then it’s not that important.

1. Target

I need competitors that will become co-op sites with me. I know that I’ve gathered everything essential to the web but there are sites out there that have gathered even more so I need to exchange links with them to complement my site. Don’t be afraid to lose your visitors, if your content isn’t good enough to get them to return. You never really “had” them in the first place.

2. Do unto others what you want them to do to you.

Be polite in your e-mails. Don’t assume that you know it all when it comes to a particular site. Treat everyone as your friend and potential customers. Who knows? It might be even before you finish your personalized email, someone already linked to you. Give and it shall be given to you.

3. Dedicate a place for all links.

Not unless you want to fill up whole first page with links and exceed that 24K ideal file size, you can have a whole page of links that will accommodate all of them. Aside from your FFA page, create a page for them complete with categories and description. Tell them politely that their link will go to this special page just for them. For example, I have FFA page, Merchant Links, and Premium Links. Premium Links section is the page intended for reciprocal link.

4. Don’t associate with bad sites.

Protect your reputation online and do exchange links with the same category as your site. If you exchange links with someone different from yours, you might end up getting customers that will be dissatisfied with your page. However, you can still accommodate them in your “Web Directory” or “FFA” page.

Getting NON-STOP Traffic By Writing Articles

Filed under: Traffic Hub — admin @ 12:46 pm

Dreaming of getting tons of targeted traffic to your site without spending a red cent? Fantasizing of effective free advertising?

Then you should deffinetely start writing articles for promotion!

The things you’ve gotta love about articles are:

A. They’re free to submit, allowing thousands of people to read them (and see your web link) without costing you a dime.

B. They prepare a visitor for purchasing your product or service much more effectively than a three line Pay Per Click ad possibly could.

C. They create a ton of inbound links to your website, which in turn boosts your Search Engine ranking (making it easier for people to find your site).

So, whether you have a product to sell, an affiliate product to promote, a newsletter, or just want more truly targeted traffic to your website, writing articles is THE way to go.

Here are the 4 steps to getting NON-STOP traffic using articles:

1. Write an informative, interesting article that your target audience would enjoy reading. Make sure that the subject covered in your article relates to the content on your site or you won’t convert very many sales or opt-ins.

For instance if your website caters to dog owners: DO write an article on the different breeds of dogs or anything else to do with dogs, but DON’T write an article about cats.

2. If you don’t believe you can write a very good article then pay someone else to write it for you. Elance.com is an excellent place to find potential article writers. Someone on Elance will write you a quality article for a low one time fee, and then you just slap your name on it and promote it as your own (this is perfectly legal).

3. The next step is writing the “ad” that is inserted at the end of your article in the byline, author’s bio, about the auther, resource box or whatever else it may be called. This little 3 to 5 line “ad” will entice your readers to visit your site.

EXAMPLE: Jane Doe is the author of “Hot Copywriting Tips,” a must have online newsletter for all website owners. Go to http://www.JanesSite.com to grab your FREE copy now.

4. Submit your article to every article site that has a category relevant to your article, and you’re ready to roll.

My favorite article sites are:

www.ideamarketers.com

www.goarticles.com

www.articlecity.com

www.articlesfactory.com

www.buzzle.com

www.ezinearticles.com

www.netterweb.com

www.isnare.com

Now get started promoting your articles. Get them out there fast if you want to set your traffic counter spinning.

Active vs. Passive Website Traffic Generation, Which is Better?

Filed under: Traffic Hub — admin @ 9:51 pm

What is vital in an online business and should be remembered by all internet marketers, merchants and advertisers is the maintenance of their website traffic through continuous promotions.

More has been discussed about various ways of exploding website traffic, but from those discussed, what are those you really consider effective and worth to implement? Learn that there are two broad types of website promotion, aside from the paid and unpaid advertising usually used to classify these promotional means: PASSIVE and ACTIVE.

Passive website promotional methods are those which do not involve much interaction from the outer side of your site. But instead you draw attention to your site. This is also referred to as the PULL methods. You pull visitors to your site.

Passive Website Promotional Methods include:

Grow and build information pages in your website. These may appear as a collection of content-rich articles, blog site, discussion forums and reports.

Search Engine Optimization

Active website promotional methods, on the other hand, are obviously the opposite. These methods require interaction with the other sites in the worldwide web. Oftentimes, you ask the services or help of other Internet sites to do some promotions for your site. These are called as the PUSH methods. You push people to your site through the ads you placed in other sites.

Active Website Promotional Methods include:

Free Classified Advertising you can post your ads for free in the web, which works until today. These are the little advertisements you post Make use of Viral Marketing this is effective because it points back to your products and services with the contact information and web address attach or included in every viral tools you sent out. Examples are ebooks (you can write a short ebook that features your products or services), videos, animations and music clips. Distribute your articles in different websites. Articles, especially those very useful and informative ones, are good baits to generate visitors to your site. But why wait for people to sniff your baits. You should post them in strategic locations and push people to your site not so obviously. Caution: most article directories do not want blatant advertising articles. Be sure to have good, informative ones to submit. If you have financial means to invest, try using paid advertisements such as:

Banner ads these ads are posted to other sites and you pay for them whether the visitors click them or not.

Pay-per-click ads are the most cost-effective ways to promote your site because you only pay for how many click your ad or site gets.

Ezine ads submit articles to where you have to pay for your articles to be posted.

Tap businesses which hold the attention of your target market through different ventures. Usually, sites of these businesses have profile pages for members. When you are a member you can create your own profile where you can introduce your site, product or services to other member and those who visit the site.

Reciprocal links or link exchanges. You can contact webmasters of different sites and ask them to swap links with you.

Engaging in teleseminars these are seminars done by phone specifically about Internet Marketing or maintaining your online business. You can also offer courses like this as a special package to your customers

Offline Networking simply telling your contacts about your site and products. Business through word-of-mouth.

Be active in forums, group discussions and message boards. Always have attached at the end of your posts your name, email and web address. Offer advice to people if someone asks for queries.

Offline Media Advertising like TV/radio plugs, newspaper and magazine ads, etc.

All of them, active and passive methods, have their own strengths and weaknesses depending on your marketing plans, needs and demands.

But if you want to increase your traffic in no time, you can use the active web promotional methods for faster results. The passive methods are best for long term building of your site popularity so you cannot just neglect its effectiveness in promoting.

Another great way to maintain site popularity is to write articles for ezines and distribute them collectively. Remember, quality in writing should be practiced. You do not want to be branded negatively. It would not be good for your website promotion.

Your visitors will constantly come back to your site if you offer them great and valuable information. Practice all methods and your website will surely have the traffic it needs.

“Which ONE Traffic/Sales Building Strategy Should You Choose?”

Filed under: Traffic Hub — admin @ 10:32 am

OK, so you have finally managed to get your business setup online. You have the three major components in place… 1. A product or service of your own 2. A website that converts visitors into buyers 3. A follow-up system that steadily grows your opt-in list Now you want to start growing the traffic to your website, so you can steadily increase sales of your product or service. But if you’re like most small business owners, you have limited time and money for promotion. With that in mind, here is the one question you must answer… Which ONE of the following traffic/sales building strategies should you focus the majority of your efforts on? Getting good search engines ranking? Setting up and maintaining a Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising campaign? Setting up a blog and RSS feed? Starting a viral article marketing campaign? Utilizing traffic exchange networks? Starting an affiliate program and seeking out JV partners? You’ll find the correct answer below. I’ve used all of the above strategies and had different levels of success with each one of them. And I do think that using each one will help grow your business. So today I’ll speak briefly about each strategy. Then I’ll share how and why one strategy works FAR better than all the rest combined.

Getting good search engines rankings works well but is very difficult. Sure, the free traffic that good rankings can generate is certainly an attractive lure, but unless you are in a small niche, you can end up spending oodles of time and or money getting your site near the top of the major search engine results. And what can you do when search engines change their algorithms and your site drops? Nothing. The fact is, search engines have nearly all the control when you use this strategy and relying on search engines for the majority of your traffic is a mistake. Setting up and maintaining a Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising campaign can bring immediate traffic to any website. But do you have any idea how much money you will need to spend if you are in a busy niche? Sure, Google Adwords is one of the best places to BUY traffic on the Internet, but small businesses need to focus on ways to get traffic without paying for it! Setting up a blog and RSS feed is a solid strategy, and you’ll find a myriad of books about “blog and ping” and rss as the future technology you cannot pass up. But the fact is, they are not the answer to high traffic and sales. They are merely technological tools developed for the purpose of distributing information. These technologies are not the Holy Grail of marketing, as many have professed. Starting a viral article marketing campaign is a great way to get traffic for free. And it is one of my personal favorites. But let’s face it, this strategy can be a lot of work. Sure, tools such as ArticleAnnouncer can speed the process and ease the learning curve, but many business owners simply do not have the time to dedicate to faithfully writing/acquiring articles and distributing them to websites and editors on a regular basis. Utilizing viral traffic networks such as TrafficSwarm.com can bring lots of traffic to any site. In fact, I get literally thousands of visitors a month from TrafficSwarm so naturally I recommend it to me readers. That’s because free traffic should always be utilized in small business, whenever possible. But the fact is, traffic from ANY such “traffic network” is commonly known to convert into sales at a lower percentage than traffic that comes from sources such as search engines, articles or personal recommendations.

Which leads me to the final strategy, a strategy that will work forever and works better than all the previous strategies combined — if you know what you’re doing… Starting an affiliate program and seeking out JV partners is the most effective, longest lasting strategy for growing traffic and sales at your website. I’ve started using this strategy more and more this year and the results have been phenomenal. Getting started… Setting up an affiliate program is pretty simple these days. I use my webbusinesswizard.com pro account to handle my own affiliate program but you can find dozens of low cost solutions by searching google.com for affiliate management solutions. The key is to choose a simple solution that you can get working in a day or two. Once you have your affiliate program in place, you decide what percentage you want to pay affiliates (I suggest 30% as a minimum in this highly competitive environment) and then post a link for your website visitors to join. Once they join make sure they get access to lots of marketing tools such as banners, solo emails and sponsor ads. Also make sure you system follows up with them regularly to assist them in their efforts. The real key is to get proactive with your affiliate recruitment.

Every day you should contact at least 3 or 4 owners of websites in niches similar to yours. Spend a little time at their site and if you like their product or service, tell them you want to promote it for them.

That’s right!

Tell them you want to promote THEIR product? It’s called Synergy.

Dictionary.com defines “synergy” as: “The interaction of two or more agents or forces so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects”

And that says it all, really.

You see, you should not be out there “pitching” potential super-affiliates. You know that tired ol’ bit… “I have a new product and I’ll give you X% of the profits if you’ll promote it.”

Frankly, webmasters are tiring of those pitches. In fact, I receive literally dozens of them every week now. I don’t have time to even look at all those offers.

HOWEVER… (And this is the real twist that makes it effective)

When someone comes to me and says, “Hey Jim, I think I can sell lots of copies of your new software…” then I sit up and take notice. And that folks, is the #1 job of any JV offer.

So that’s what you should be doing in your own efforts.

Of course, at the same time, you will also “introduce” a product of yours that would fit in well with their niche. Here’s a sample letter you can use to make the first contact… Subject: I’d like to promote your site Hi {NAME},My name is {NAME} and I own {WEBSITE}. I just found your site today and I believe many of my website visitors would find your {PRODUCT NAME} quite useful. Would you be interested in a little cross-promoting?I’m confident I could bring you lots of fresh sales, and I’ll pay you handsomely for any sales you generate of my product. Of course I’d be happy to send my product to you so that you can review it first. Just say the word and I’ll get it right out.Sincerely, {YOUR NAME} What you will find resulting time and time again is a JV-JV, or double joint venture, where you promote their product and they promote yours. Synergy. Increased sales. Call it what you want, it is very effective and profitable for both parties involved.

Here are a few tips to consider before you start using this strategy.

Tip #1: Make sure you have a top-notch product, service or opportunity to present BEFORE you start using this strategy. You’ll need testimonials in place and you should also be willing to offer a complimentary review of your offering.

Tip #2: Stick to businesses that are NOT directly competing with you, but whose offerings are in the same niche. For example, if your site offers discount search engine submissions, don’t try to hook up with another search engine submission site. Instead, try domain name registrars, web hosting companies, or similar sites.

Tip #3: Try to find other businesses whose traffic and subscriber lists are comparable to yours.

Again, this is a strategy that will work forever. It is not subject to being blocked by technology or becoming less effective over time, like many strategies. So if you are not yet using an affiliate program at your site, and actively seeking out potential partners on a regular basis, I suggest you start today.
